About Us

As a Violent Crimes Victims Advocate we support the victims and families affected by violent crime.

It is clear by the statistics that there are hundreds of persons affected by violent death or attempted homicide who must ask the difficult questions: “Who, what, where, when, how, and why?”

Most don’t know where to turn in order to obtain answers — these are the people we serve.

We also assist victims of attempted homicide and families of “undetermined deaths cases” — classified that way because there is insufficient information to make a cause determination. These victims and families are equally affected and have no public resources dedicated to their needs — these are the people we serve.

Violent deaths also affect communities: neighborhoods, schools, work places, and government services at various levels. We serve the broader community in their efforts to obtain resolution by providing education and resources and by our on-going support of the families in their efforts to obtain resolution.

Families who have lost a loved one to a murder and/or are faced with an unresolved violent death want and need to know what has happened to their family member. They find it very difficult to understand why justice has not been served. They find themselves helplessly frustrated by a lack of information, cooperation, help and even caring by the complex legal/criminal justice system. They find themselves alone and facing information gaps — these are the people we serve.

All of these and more are the people we serve.
